Offensive lobbing in pickleball - Pickleball Point Breakdown
Aaahhhh… the offensive lob. A greatly underutilized weapon in pickleball. Allows you to push your opponents off the no volley zone line and assert control of the point. This pickleball point includes 3 offensive lobs, the first 2 of which successfully turn the tables and the third which wins the point. This is a pickleball series where we will be breaking down basic points (not fancy shots like the Erne or ATP). Our objective is to use the point as a visual aid to illustrate optimal and sub-optimal pickleball shots, court movement, and strategies. This sort of visual aid can help you identify the good (and the bad) in your own game.
Thanks to Tom, Tyson, and Scott for the games and for providing the footage we use here.
