In2Pickle Academy - Ongoing and Forming
On this page you can read about the classes and workshops that we are forming and those for which we are looking to form based on player interest.
Classes are multi-week (usually 3 to 4 weeks long). Workshops are single day.
Featured:
SMART AGGRESSION: Join us as Catherine Parenteau and Athena Trouillot share their thoughts and strategies about pickleball. We will cover modern principles of the game with a focus on smart aggressive play. If less than 12 attendees sign up for the workshop, it may be rescheduled (in which case you may attend the rescheduled workshop or request a refund). Because this is a guest-instructor workshop, there are no refunds after the workshop. This is a Webinar-style clinic. You will be able to send in questions through live chat. This webinar will NOT be publicly broadcast.
October 17, 2020
Two Sessions (both times Eastern):
1:00-2:30 PM and
3:00 - 4:30 PM.
Forming now:
FUNDAMENTALS OF PICKLEBALL: In this Online Academy Class, we will break the game down: serve and return concepts, the soft game, playing at the no volley zone, and movement during a point. For each you will learn a fundamentally sound approach to the game of pickleball. Our objective is that at the end you are playing more successful (and satisfying) pickleball. This class is for any player who could benefit from a more thorough understanding of pickleball fundamentals (beginner to intermediate).
Interest lists:
STACKING MASTERCLASS: Are you an intermediate or advanced player looking for an edge? One word: stacking. I know a little something about pickleball, but for stacking I am undisputed champion. This is a 3-hour live workshop where I will teach you everything there is to know about stacking. When to do it. How to do it. When not to do it. How to make it difficult to stack against you. The Shadow Shift (patent pending).
LOB THEM OFF THE LINE: Having trouble winning a rally? Maybe you should just push them off the line with a well-executed lob. A lob, when well, hit has no counter to it. Other than your opponents hustling back to the baseline to get it. Not many more things in pickleball more rewarding than that view from your side of the net. This is a 2-hour live workshop. Learn when and how to use the lob.
